Spot is a 12 lb jack russell/feist mix. Her reported DOB is December xxxx. She was abandoned on a mattress in a parking lot when her owner fell on hard times. They decided to just let the shelter "gas her". Ugh! We heard her story & pulled her from the shelter. She is now in foster care & doing great! Spot is a spry little girl who gets along with other dogs. She will get used to household cats, but at first, she will bark & attempt to chase. She came to us with flea allergy dermatitis on her back which is being treated now. She has cataracts in both eyes, but she seems to see pretty well. She can climb stairs & trot around the house with no problems (and spot a cat from across the house...lol). She's a good car rider & still has energy for walks :) When she came to us, she needed a dental cleaning. When the doctor got to work, it turned out that almost all of Spot's teeth were either loose, rotting, or abscessed and festering with infection so she now has just 3 canine teeth left. She probably feels so much better, but will need moistened kibble or canned food from now on. She LOVES her humans & bonds instantly with anyone who will hold or pet her. She will follow you wherever you go. She loves to snuggle on the couch with you, but won't jump up on the couch until she is invited. She has learned the routine of her foster home quickly and will scratch at the back door to go outside to potty. Spot is spayed, UTD on vaccinations, crate trained, house trained, and on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Half of her adoption fee is sponsored by a donor who loves seniors so it's $75.
